STOLLER NEWPORT NEWS NUCLEAR APPOINTS NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

NEWPORT NEWS, Va., Feb. 16, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE:HII) announced today that its Stoller Newport News Nuclear (SN3) subsidiary has promoted Gerald Boyd to vice president of business development. Boyd currently serves as the company's vice president of southeast operations.

Boyd joined SN3—then The S.M. Stoller Corp.—in 2011, managing the company's office in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. In his new role, he will be responsible for guiding acquisition and teaming activities in support of SN3's expanded objectives within the Department of Energy, Department of Defense and other federal agencies and commercial markets.

"Gerald brings a wealth of knowledge regarding the DOE's science, environmental management, nuclear fuel supply and national security programs," said Nick Lombardo, SN3's president. "We look forward to the benefit of his experience and leadership in further developing SN3's strategic growth."

The S.M. Stoller Corp. was founded in 1959 to provide leading-edge technical consulting and engineering services. The company was acquired in January 2014 and combined with HII's Newport News Nuclear subsidiary in 2015 to create SN3, a full-service nuclear operations and environmental services company operating under the Newport News Shipbuilding division.
